On September 14, 2024, I loaded my Mini for the umpteenth time with everything needed to host a pottery workshop on location. The sun is shining through the glass roof of the Mini because the weather is beautiful today. I’m already feeling excited because I know I’m driving to a lovely outdoor venue: a farm with a large garden. As I drive onto the grounds, I see alpacas popping up left and right. Oh, hello! I wasn’t expecting those. Every location I visit brings a fun surprise. And what a gift it is for me to host a pottery workshop among the alpacas!

It is such a fun group of friends who, with the exception of the organizer, didn’t know what they were about to get themselves into! Their enthusiasm was clear once they realized what they would be doing. I take a step back for a moment while everyone is busy working. This is pure enjoyment! For me, too. In the meantime, I take the foam cakes from Van der Linde out of the fridge. Because yes, I like to make it a complete experience—being creative while enjoying something delicious!

There is a lot of discussion about the designs that need to be painted. I can tell you that making choices is always the hardest part of the entire pottery workshop, haha, because there is so much to choose from! Checks, stripes, flowers, and full portraits are slowly appearing on all the pre-fired items.

The workshop is almost over. I am amazed every time by what everyone creates. And the best part is that they feel that way too. With a few simple tricks, you can make something so lovely. And I am happy to help you with that.
