Op 't Eiland

On the Island

There are those places in the world that you are drawn to. And this is one of them. Once discovered while I was out for a bike ride. Now a place I love to visit. Especially for delicious Italian food with a view that is truly spectacular.

And now I also regularly host ceramic glazing workshops here while you enjoy Italian bites and toast with a glass of wine. This location has all sorts of hidden gems. Sometimes by the water, and this time I set up the temporary ceramics studio among the trees.

All the participants are already busy with brushes and glazes as the first round of pizza slices is handed out. If this isn't what enjoyment is all about, then I don't know what is.

Once the base glaze color has been applied three times, the most fun part begins: creating little paintings. That’s what makes this type of ceramic glazing workshop so much fun, I think. It is refined and detailed work. Of course, I’m happy to help you with ideas and get you started if you need it.

And the most important thing is, of course, to enjoy yourself. Being creative and having fun. And you’ll get a beautiful, usable item in any case. Because you can do more than you think.
